Becoming a Cub Scout leader is a rewarding way to support your child's Scouting experience and contribute to the community. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:
Complete the Adult Application
Fill out the application form with your personal information and agree to the leadership guidelines and expectations.
Adult Application PDFWaiver Agreement & Live Scan
Complete the waiver agreement form and prepare for your Live Scan background check.
Complete Safeguarding Youth Training
This training covers important safety practices, including how to protect children and recognize potential hazards.
Start Training →Complete Mandated Reporter Training
This course will teach you how to identify and report signs of abuse or neglect, a crucial responsibility for all adult leaders.
Start Training →Save Your Certificates
After completing the two training courses, be sure to save your certificates of completion, as they are required for your application.
Submit All Documentation to the Cubmaster
Once you have finished the application and training, provide the Cubmaster with your completed adult application and both training certificates for final approval.
